The Organizing Committee of the 8th International Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CIFARP 2011) is honored with your presence in one of the main scientific event in Pharmaceutical Sciences of Latin America, in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, from 21 to 24 August 2011. The theme chosen for this edition is “New Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences”, offering great opportunities to exchange views, ideas and innovations in the pharmaceutical sciences area. The current advances and updates in the pharmaceutical field are covered by renowned experts in plenary sessions, symposia, conferences, and in oral presentations. Several topics will be discussed, including the following: cancer and neurodegenerative diseases: new targets and drug development, drug delivery systems, photodynamic therapy, microbial toxins, pharmaceutical and cosmetics technology and nanotechnology, toxicology, natural and biotechnological products, pharmaceutical assistance, clinical analysis, food sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics, pharmaceutical analysis and bioanalysis, global overview of the pharmaceutical industry, antineoplasic effect of metal-based drugs, challenges in vaccine development, medicinal chemistry, and bioinorganic chemistry and applications.
The congress offers to the participants a total of 22 Conferences, 09 Symposia, 02 Poster Sessions and 18 short communications as well as 04 pre-congress events: Pharmaceutical Assistance in the Brazilian Public Health Care System, I Brazilian Colloquium in Medicinal Chemistry, I Phytopharmatec - The International Workshop on Phytopharmaceutical Technology & Industry, 2nd Brazilian Workshop on Pharmaceutical Education. Six satellite events are also planned: Meeting of Coordinators of Post Graduation in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forum of Coordinators of Post Graduation in Pharmacy and the Coordination of area on CAPES, Meeting of American Association of Pharmaceutic Scientists Student Chapter of University of São Paulo, Meeting of INCT_if Group and General Assembly of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ABCF).
